Nakshatra
Panchang Nakshatra Gyan-Dear reader Gana and new ritualistic Viprantas, it is important to have general knowledge of Nakshatras, so for your benefit –
Tara group
is called Nakshatra. The constellation is situated far away from the Sun and
they do not seem to be orbiting the Sun. The moon performs Circumambulation (of the
earth) in 28.3 days by passing through these stars around the earth. Each
constellation is representative of a particular constellation or groups of
stars. A nakshatra is of 3 degrees 20 minutes.
Nakshatra Definition –
According to
the Shatapatha Brahmin - Na + Kshatra, means- Powerless.
According to
Nirukta - the word Nakshatra originated from Naksha (meaning-getting) metal.
Nakta = night, Tra = protector. That is, one who is the guardian of the night
is called Nakshatra.
According to
Taittiriya Brahmin-Nakshatras are considered to be the house (house) of the
gods.
According to the Nidana Sutra - The sun spends
13 days in each constellation. The union of the moon with the constellations is
called Nakshatra Yoga.
According to
the Rigveda- the constellation is called the world that does not decay.
॥ Na Ksharti, na
Sarti Iti Nakshatrah ॥
That is, neither moving nor moving. The one who is stable is called Nakshatra.
That is, neither moving nor moving. The one who is stable is called Nakshatra.
According to the Yajurveda- the constellations
are called Apsaras of the Moon.

The names of the constellations are as follows-
Ashwini Bharani Chav Kritika Rohini mrigah.
Ardra Punarvasuh Pushyastatah Shlesha Magha tatha. Purvafalgunika Tasmaduttaraphalguni
Tatah. Hastashchitra tatha Swati Vishakha

part of the beginning of Shravan Nakshatra (four (4) hours of the beginning) is
called Abhijit Nakshatra. It is considered the twenty-seventh (27) nakshatra.
Each nakshatra is divided into four parts (phases), which are called the first, second, third and fourth stages, to closely observe astrology.
